Serving Sweet Bing Cherry Compote

Sweet Bing Cherry Compote is a wonderful way to dress up healthy but plain-looking desserts, like Yogurt Panna Cotta.

This is the time of year when I'm really glad I took the time to preserve Bing cherries in July. My Sweet Bing Cherry Compote has made several well-received appearances at our dining room table since summer.

When you have preserved fruit in your pantry, it's easy to dress up desserts. If you're having guests over, you can make a classic dessert ahead of time -- like panna cotta or cheesecake, or even easier, buy ice cream -- then simply spoon some cherries over the top right before serving.

If this little individual mold filled with panna cotta looks familiar, maybe it's because I've blogged in the past about using my molds to make things like Quince Paste.

Using these vintage individual Jello molds is so much fun!
